After 3 weeks of haitus, I'm back! Haha. I really miss this blog of mine. Haha. I was busy these passed days. Finals is fast approaching, it will be on monday! I need to work hard to pass my subjects. Anyway I'm going to study now! I want you all to know that I am still opening my blog! Ciao!

Typhoon Ondoy..

Yesterday the Typhoon Ondoy or Ketsana (International Name), had its landfall about 8:00 a.m. it didn't stop to rain very hard the whole day. Our backyard was already flooded and thank God it didn't even went in our garden or in our house. :) But as hours passed by some fo the parts of Metro Manila, reported in the news, was already flooded. I first saw the video that shows the Mother Ignacia St., Quezon City. The flood was now very high and it was just 3 hours after the landfall here in Cavite and Manila. The current was very fast. I also saw a man which we can sww that the flood is upto the neck of the person. I also saw some cars was wipeout and was going to the flow of the current. Here are some of the pictures taken yesterday during the typhoon was here in the Philippines.

My brother was among to those who was stranded going home. He had a job in Manila Ocean Park. He told us that the flood ni Manila was upto the knee or higher to that. They just have a night inside the Ocean Park. Yesterday was a disaster. Let us pray for those who are still in need and to all those who died.

My birthday was last Thursday, it was fun, even though my most memorable birthday is last year because it was our Retreat. Anyway, as I was saying last Thursday was my birthday. I prayed first to God to thank Him that He gave me seventeen years in his wonderful world to live in. When I was on my way to school, some of my friends, old classmates, old schoolmates was texted me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I was so touched because they remember my birthday. I would like to thank all of them for remembering my birthday. When I arrived at school, my new classmates were also greeted me. I am glad because they made my day good. I remembered one scene that day, it was during our Theology class. I am the one in-charge in the review game about Incarnation and fortunately I had a high score which is 4/5. Manu also got 4/5. We had a tie breaker question. Then when we are going to start, Jaybee told Dr. Alviar that it is my birthday that day! Then Dr. Alviar said that if ever I won, she will double the plus point we will get. But unfortunately I lost. Haha It's okay because it was a game and anyone of us will win or lose. I really enjoyed our Theolgy that day.

My next class that day is English. I really don't like our English professor, why? Because of her attitude. She is so perfectionist. She always give attention to all our mistakes even it is just not that bad. The way she teached is good but the attitude of being a perfectionist is what I don't like at her. Anyway, I thought that my hour in English time will be bad but NO it was not. She even didn't gave us her usual sermon when she enters our classroom. Haha. I thank God about that. Then the my next class is also fun.

Alica, one of my new friends and my seatmate always greets me. I think she greet me a Happy Birthday umm...30 times that day. Haha Thank you! When I got home, my Mom and Dad strated to cook pancit and carbonara. I also saw that they bought me a CAKE! Yummy!I will share sometime my cake! Haha

It's my BIRTHDAY, it's my BIRTHDAY! Haha..

Umm I am now seventeen years of age. Oh no! I am becoming older but not too old. I am now approaching manhood. Excited?! No way. Haha. I like to be younger but it is the nature of human beings to grow old. All of us grow old or except if you have the same case of Benjamin Button. Haha. Now I am seventeen, I should be more independent and I should know that I should be more responsible by now. I am glad that my old classmates were able to remember my birthday! Even my old classmate and my schoolmates. I really appreciated that. Even though they greet me by text message, I am still happy because I now know that I have really good friends to count on. T.T Haha. :) Anyway I will just post the things that I have done this day :)

Shocking Results...

Today is the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition. Far Eastern University Pep Squad won as Champion, Ateneo De Manila University Pep Squad won as 1st runner-up and University of the Philippines won as 2nd runner-up. When UP was announced as the 2nd runner-up, I was shocked because I thought they will be the one who will be the Champion or maybe UST(syempre that is my school Haha) But promise UP is really good. Then next is ADMU. I was not that surprised because they had done a good job. I really like the Moonwalk of the two girls. They were lifted to the air. It was very very nice. Then FEU was declared champion! I was very very shocked, even my mom and sister. My mom expects that UP will won as champs but she was shocked because the hell FEU? Duh? I am not against it but ADMU and UP is far more better than FEU. They say that it was 'luto", even me, I also think it. UST is also good. I also say that it was luto because of the scores they got. UP and ADMU got 83+ then FEU got 86+! See, the scores are so far! I cannot believe it. Even their school mascot! It was a Sarimanok! Haha

Whatever, There is always a next year and no can can change it that I am still a THOMASIAN, TOMASINO or whatever you call us! I am very proud to be part of the school! Haha. I AM PROUD TO BE A THOMASIAN! Kaya kayo enroll na sa UST! Haha...

Mama Mary's Birthday...

Today is the Birthday of Mama Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Umm, I thought that we will not be having a class today but I was so surprised because we have a class. Since I started to go to school, we don't have a class during September 8. But why today? There still have a class. When I got home today, my mom said that only Catholic schools don't' have classes but UST is a Catholic school and she also said that now it only depends to the school administration if they want to suspend the class.

UST just held a Mass today but it depends if the students want to go. It started at 3:00 p.m. I did not attend the mass because we have a group meeting for our report in FIlipino. I and Fatima(my classmate) just walk by at the church to give thanks to the Lord for helping me in my studies and in our Long Test. :)

My sister's birthday!

Yesterday is my sister's birthday! Umm we went to SM Southmall. We attended the mass first. After the mass, we ate at Chowking because my father requested it since it is only twice or thrice my father go with us because he has work. After we ate at Chowking we went to grocery to but some items we don't have at home. I was surprised when we went at the Meat Section of the Grocery because Montery is not there which we usually where we buy pork and beef. Well my mom just try the SM bonus. After that, we went to find my mom a shoes or sandal for the wedding she will attend. We find a good one in Suki. My mom's shoe size is 4 1/2! Haha..

We also bought our sister a cake in Goldilocks. We just bought the Chocolate Chiffon. It's my sisters favorite. At home, mom cooked Carbonara only because that is the only thing my sis wanted. We have a fun night. I forgot to take a picture of my sister's cake. Oh...

Today is also the birthday of my old classmate, Janine, I just leave comment to her. Oh..my birthday is now too close!

SM 3 day sale!

Today is Sunday so we went to SM Southmall to go to Mass. The Mass celebrant is Fr. Joey Ayala Faller, a famous healing priest from the Kamay ni Hesus in Lukban, Quezon. My mom said he was a very good healing priest. He was good. He explains very well the Gospel about the Pharisees and Scribes. I thought that there will be a healing thing after because there was so many people who attended the mass today but unfortunately, he was there to celebrate only the mass. Maybe the people are there to shop because of the 3 day sale of SM Southmall which starts last Friday and it extends until tomorrow, August 31.

In Sm I saw Inay(Grace) with Tita Brenie and Camille. I was curious because Domingo, her brother was not there. But I saw Domingo when we went to the 2nd Floor, he was in a computer shop. I also saw Denise may former seatmate and classmate and friend haha..with her 2 sisters. Haha I just like to share.

My Mom decided to shop because it is sale. We went first to find my mom a dress or any semi-formal attire for a wedding that she will attend on September. But unfortunately we didn't found anything. Haha. Next stop is to find me a yellow shirt, if ever there will be a yellow day again at UST I will have a new shirt to wear. We bought my shirt and my brother's too at Oxygen. I also bought Gas, my perfume in Oxygen. My mom again decided to find a new bag and a new slipper or sandal. She just bought the bag. Umm..We also went to look for a Food Processor but we didn't bought it because it was too expensive and it was not that new..but my mom said that she will look at Alabang town center or Home Depot maybe there, she could find a better one.

Ohh..SM is jam pack. I was so tired and we went home so that we can rest. Wahh..I still need to study for a quiz in Biology! Until here!

SIR JOHN SPECIAL DAY!

Yesterday is Sir John's birthday! Our former and the best adviser we ever had..haha..:)) We have planned to go to their house in Queensrow Area S. But before that I went first to UST for our COMACH General Assembly. Actually Red Cross Youth Council also have the GA that day and I am also a member of the Org. But I chose the COMACH because it was the first one who gave me an invitation to the GA and I am also a Junior Officer of the Org.. The GA is fun. I enjoyed it very well. I have made some new friends from different courses and higher years.

After our GA, I hurried to go to Jolibee Molino because that place is our meeting place. I was frustrated because of the heavy traffic in Zapote Talaba. I arrived in Jolibee at around 3 pm. Well my other Rizal classmate is as usual late again haha..nothing shock me about it. But I'm glad some are already there. When we are complete, umm I think we are about 22 or 23 (Some can't come because they have class and some will catch up and try to find the house of Sir John). We arrived at serjan's house at around 4 pm. He wears his pambahay, a t-shirt and he wears boxers. He went back inside to change his clothes. haha...I think that he was surprised because he didn't know that we will go there in their house. BTW I and Desiree are the ones who found the house of Serjan and asked the Guy in their house if Serjan will be there and asked him not to say our plans. Haha I would like to thank to Kuya..kung sino man sya haha..

Serjan opened his gifts and he also boasted to us the gift of his new advisory class (Del Pilar) which is Electric Guitar. Haha. But its ok. We the Tomasino's gave him a cake from red ribbon, a CD of Hale which Serjan said that he really want to have it and a card. The Lasallians gave him the Big Card which all or maybe not all but some of the Rizalvadors sign in it, and a watch which Serjan also said that he really needed a watch for his work because the watch he wears last year was worn out already. Umm Jeck and Denise gave him brownies. I think Fatima and Iana gave him a cup, which is usually he brings at school for drinking water, with a design. I think it was done around UST. Umm..There are many others.

It was fun with Serjan again it was like a reunion. We talk and talk. Tell stories about our college life and many more. We teased each other, we laugh and we also eat..haha..Bsta it was like our Rizalvador days!..haha I really miss that days. I hope it did not end but we should move on to face new faces and challenges and become independent to each other. Serjan make us see his memorabilia with Rizal. He make a scrapbook with our graduation picx there. Some of our farewell letter and also I saw my own farewell gift to serjan, the collage of his pictures during his Rizal days and other events and pictures which is serjan was there! Oh...

There is a funny story, Ron was so late and he texted me umm I think it was 20 minutes after we arrived at serjan's house, that he will go in serjan's house. And it was when we are departing, it was about 6pm and Ron was nowhere to be seen. Haha..When we go outside Ron showed up. Haha...La lng..haha..we have our group picture..Wahh I really missed it. The picture picture thing.

I hope next year we will have that again. Umm After to Serjan's house we will went to Ghie's crib but I and Inay(Grace) decided that we will not go because it was late and we went home together. Umm Ghie I'm sorry again!

Last Friday I have my PE class again which is Softball. Why again? Because it has been a month since we have our proper PE. Last few weeks, it had rained, the field is so wet, we have our Prelims and a holiday. That's why it has been a month that we didn't have PE.

Ok back to the topic, last Friday is my PE. When I left home I thought that I got all the things that I should bring for my PE and my school uniform for my class after PE. But when I am in the van going to Alabang, I remember that I forgot to put my PE Cap in my bag. I was so confused what to do because the cap is needed for attendance and for our practical test that day. I decided to text my brother if he can bring it and gave it to me at UST before he go to his work. Oh I forgot, my brother got a job in the Manila Ocean Park! Haha...But my brother didn't text back so I went to a store to reload my phone. I call to my house but the phone is busy, the phone of my sister is just ringing and my brother's phone is out of coverage. What the! I don't know what to do. Until I was in the Taft, no one answers either phones. I decided that I should face the consequence and I thought that "sana hindi lang ako ang walang Cap!" haha..I know I'm bad!haha..

When I got to UST I was so nervous because if we don't have that Cap, we will be absent and maybe we will not be able to get the practical. When our professor get the attendance, he asked me.."San ang Cap mo?" I said.."Naiwan ko po sa bahay! :(" then he said: "Ano yun? Bahay mo gagamit ng cap? Sige papalampasin ko to next week dapat dala mo na Cap mo!"..I was surpirsed because he gave me a chance and he also gave me that practical test! Yehey! Haha..Fortunately I am not the only one who don't have the Cap..haha..

That day also in my old school, the Sabayang Pagbigkas will take place but unfortunately I cannot come because I have a class until 5 pm. I have heard that the New batch of IV-RIZAL won! Oh Congratulation! You have done well daw! haha...:))

Ethel's Blowout....

Ethel's Blowout or I should we say that it is a reunion. There are 21 ex-Rizal last friday! Well I hope others are there. I really miss them so much, especially our noisiness, our bonding, SIR JOHN and many more! Ethel's birthday is last August 14 but she decided to make it August 21 so that all of us Rizal can come but unfortunately some still can't go because they still have other matters to do.

That day is so fun! We take pictures like what we always did during high school days, we bond with each other, we did many things that we really missed. Thanks to Ethel we have that again. I hope there is still another time to do that again! Wahh...I'm speechless...really! I cannot say a thing because of happiness. Haha..Basta masaya ang araw na yun!

PRELIMS!

I'm back! I think it's been two weeks since I last blog, right? I just like to share my First Prelims in my college life. At first I still didn't know how is the system they did during the Prelims. We have different Proctors everyday and we have a schedule which has only one or two subjects each day. It's good because unlike when I am in high school, we have a schedule which there is five subjects in that particular day!

Our First exam is Math. I think I have done well in that exam. The items is just over 25. That test is easier compared to the high school math exam. I got 20/25 which is good and I also got +2 which it makes my score 22/25. My highest math score! Wow! ahaha. The next day exam is Theology and Filipino. Again the test is easy but I am not confident to have a high score because I forgot some of the questions and my mind is rumbling with different concepts. I got 63/80 at our Theology exam and 69/100 with my Filipino exam. My Biology Lecture and Biology Lab exam is my most difficult exam I ever had. I still don't have my exam results. I hope I will passed that exams because it is our only major subject! Next is our Philosophy and English. I still don't know my Philosophy results. I got 71/100 at my English Exam. I got 66/100 with my Philippine History exam.

Our professor also gave us our Prelim grade. But I will not put it here because it is very confidential. Haha. Nah. I just don't like to share it because my grade is low. Aw, I hope i will not fail this semester!

Philippine History really makes my day bad!

I have a freaking week. I cannot believe in my eyes that first Monday of the month we will have 3 exams. First is the practical exam in our Biology 101 Lab. Wheew...I have to memorize the pictures of the specimens that we have studied and their uses or other related questions. Well I think I have done well but still I cannot answer some of the questions. Next is Philippine History, I only got 23/40 and the passing score is 24. Aw...one point away. Next is Filipino our last subject this is the hardest of all, hay..I also forgot to read the directions carefully. There are two part of the exam which we will put an X mark if there is no Klaster or diptonggo and if there is put the klaster or diptonggo. I just only do the marking of X. I was in a hurry to answer the questions and forgot to read the directions. Hay.. I got 57/110. If I read the directions I should have got 69/110. A big disappointed.
Yesterday is a bad day for me. At first it is good because we don't have our PE because the field is wet and muddy, we also have the experiment in Biology and we have a good Philosophy class but my day was ruined by the Philippine History class. Why? he gave us our grades and we will compute it. It is for the 60% of our Prelims. I got the total score of 67 and we divide it by two equals to 36. At first it is okay because I got 2 zero quizzes. But the hard part is I was put by our prof at the very very unsafe zone which means I can fail the subject, but I have a classmate which we have the same score and he was put to the unsafe zone only and also another classmate which have a lower score than me. I was very frustrated at that time. I felt the unfairness of the room. I think that I was a nice sheep turned to become a black sheep.
After our Filipino class, we will have the Tutorials in Algebra and because of the History I didn't go at the tutorials I even put down the invite of Inay(Grace) and Sher to go to the tutorials. I was very disappointed. I hope this semester will go fast. I will do my best to passed the Prelims exam so that I can pass that f****** History! (Sorry for inconvenience).

SALUTE FOR OUR FORMER PRESIDENT CORAZON AQUINO...

Yesterday at 3:18 a.m., the most loved president and the first woman president in the Philippines and Asia died at the age of 76.

I woke up at about 8:30 a.m. when I read the text message of Amiel saying that let us pray for the soul of our former president Cory Aquino. I was so shocked because last two days I recalled that she was now getting better and doing well. At first I didn't believe it but when I opened our television, there is the proof. Most of the channels is about the President Aquino's death. I also saw the news even in the international news stations like the CNN, BBC WORLD. etc. She was a big loss in the world. Even the Secretary of State of U.S.A.- Hilary Clinton and President Barack Obama is mourning. Clinton, as I can see that she was so shocked and she also said that Pres. Cory is one of her inspirations.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo also mourns and she will be back from U.S. before the burial of Pres.Aquino.
Pres. Aquino also will have a military honor. President Cory Aquino is what the Filipino inspires very much since the People Power. She became the mother of the Filipinos at that time. In her time as the President, she successfully gave the Filipinos freedom and unity. She even become an inspiration to other nations like the People Power in Germany in 90's, etc. She also improves our constitution which until now we used. As many says she is the best President in the Philippines ever had.

On Wednesday there will be no classes for us to see the burial of our late President Cory Aquino. PUGAY KAMAY! NA!..We will miss you our first mother of the Philippines.

SONA 2009...

SONA 2009, is the last State of the Nation Address of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. The SONA is all about the accomplishments of the administration the past few years. Like the Education, the performance of the economy, etc. There is one thing that hit me when I watched the SONA, it is what PGMA said. It goes this way "I shall step down on this stage but not the Presidency". I was so curious at first but when it was repeated again in the news, I now realized what it meant. Well it is very obvious that she doesn't like to step down as a President. I think that she like to extend her term as a President. Well no one can say that but we can speculate on how she address it. There is still ten months to go before the election or maybe we will not have an election by then. In that ten months, many things will happen that we will not expect. My mom said that maybe there will be Martial Law before the election even though she mention that she will never do that. For me, I think that maybe 10% of her projects are done but the 90% is still just a promise that still doesn't come true. Well I have still have many things to learn this SONA thing but as citizen we should learn to listen first before we react.

FRESHMEN WALK!

Last Friday, July 24, we have our Freshmen walk. But before that, we still got our classes and a library orientation. The Library Orientation is somewhat fun and boring. It is fun because the Coordinator for discipline is connecting the rules and regulations of our colleges to the students. She gave examples.

Freshmen walk is the awaited activity of the freshmen students in UST. It where we, the freshmen of the school is going to be an official THOMASIAN! We will walk through the Arch of the Centuries which is the original the entrance of the UST when it is in Intramuros before it was transfered in Sampaloc, Manila. There are rumors that if you entered the Arch it means that you are a true thomasian already but if you go out of the Arch you cannot finish the studies there or in short you will be drop. Well it is a rumor. We can get out there after our study and it will be in our future baccalaureate mass in our last year there.

Lets go back to the Freshmen walk. We assemble at the Quadricentennial plaza (at the back of the Main Building) at 2:30 p.m. It is so hot there even we use an umbrella to protect our skin in the heat of the sun. It was so noisy every where because maybe all of us were excited. The walk started at 3:30 p.m. Then one of my classmate shouted UNOBIOSIETE! then someone answered it. It is like they were rallying. Well it was fun...I also joined because it is my section! Haha. We were just laughing and laughing. All of the other students were maybe smirking at us or maybe they thought that we should ashamed of ourselves. But we didn't care. We entered the famous Arch of the Centuries then we went at the field which the emcees in the grandstand announced all the sections and the courses of the UST. I was shocked to know that there are 14,000+ freshmen in UST! What the...After that, we have the Mass which I was totally awestruck at the Choir which is composed of the Conservatory of Music students-they are the freshmen. The choir is an orchestra and they are good for a freshmen. Well, they have gone very difficult task before passing there.

After the Mass, the Tomasinong Rizal, us planned to meet. Haha. Well I already saw some of them and I am now happy to see them all. Except that we still don't know if Czerina is really studying at UST because either one of us still don't see her, even John Paul (an old classmate), also don't see her in their building. I really miss my old friends and classmates or even my batch mates. I found one memento of my high school days. It is our speech choir performance in the Inter-Dalta last year. It is not actually a performance, it is a contest between the different Perpetual Campuses. We won the second place. And here it is...

It's Sunday today...I was so disappointed this morning after the Mass when I found out that we will not watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. My mom said that we will watch it next week so that my brother can watch also..he went somewhere kasi....Oh...I really really wanted to watch it now...Hay..I should have go with my old friends yesterday, they watched it.

No Classes!

We don't a class today! But I still went to school because I don't know. They just announced it when I am already in the bus. I was so irritated because the fare I paid is sayang! And I don't have enough sleep last night I just got 3 hours of sleep because I did our written report in Bio Lab class and the questionnaire in our Philippine History. I slept at about 1:30 in the morning and I have to get up at 4:00 a.m. because I have my PE class at 7 a.m.

I am at the UN Avenue that I got out of the bus to go home because our class was suspended. I was shocked because anywhere I go or anywhere there is flood. I can't cross the street to find a bus going home. I felt frustrated. I have no choice but to cross the flooded street. My things are all wet, I am wet from head to toe. It was raining very very hard. I got home at about 8:15 a.m. I decided to sleep to make up my short hours of sleep.

I just rest for all day! I have to save energy for next week. Oh I have planned to rent with Sher, a condominium just across UST. Its name is University Tower. But I think we cannot rent it because we can't find 2 other people to share with it. It costs P18000 and we can't afford it just the two of us. But I hope or I wish we can. I am now very tired of going home late and sleeping late because of the home works and waking up very early. Going home to Cavite is tiring and going to Manila everyday also. Oh... next year I hope we can get that condo.

After a stressful week and I'm back. Well I had again a stressful week as always. Yesterday I have a PE, it is softball. Well it is so fun but very tiring. It's okay as long as it is fun. We are done with throwing and catching last week and we just review it yesterday. Then our Professor, Mr. Salamat, teached us the dance of the softball. At first I thought "are you kidding me???" But they just call it dance, it is actually moves of softball. It is fun. I am really looking forward for the next PE day!

BIO101 Lab is my next class yesterday and we have the experiment or activity. It is the Iodine test, Anthrone Test and Biuret Test. It is fun because it is my first time to have a formal experiment. I never done it in my old school. I was assigned to do the Antrone test. Anthrone is a very hazardous chemical, as our professor said. Anthrone makes your skin irritated if you have a contact with it, like if a droplet accidentally drop to your skin then you should wash it immediately to prevent skin irritation or burn. It is hot if you touch the test tube with Anthrone. Well I done the test correctly. And I'm happy with it.

Today is the Opening of Season 72 of UAAP. It is fun and enjoyable. It is the first time, I realized that I am now a college student. The host school is FEU. The first game of the season is UST vs ADU. We were so energetic to cheer. BTW: Me, Ghie, Sher, Emily, Dezri, Yen, Uy and his gf and 3 more bio-6 were there to witness the event. Ooops! I have something to say... Uy is Inay's(Grace) classmate right and he was linked to Inay. We were in the upper box B. He asked something to Sher, he said..."Saan si Grace??? Bakit di siya sumama???" Haha la lng..Well as I am saying we were so energetic and because of that UST won! 76 - 75 in favor of UST! We also witness some of the moves of the cheering squad of UST and ADU. We also saw the game of DLSU-Manila vs UE. We didn't finished it because it is late when it start. DLSU lost against UE and I was shocked about it.

I have a good weekend though. Oh next week is the Prelims of my old classmates. Good luck to them. Our Prelims will be on August 10. It's been a month already. And many things had done already I thought I was not a freshmen because we have loads of home works.

Happy Birthday to my best friend, Francesca Isabelle Tolosa Soriano, she will be 16 years of age. She will celebrate on July 16...Happy Anniversary to the VSC also!!!!

Rest Day!

Hi there! I'm sorry if I didn't have time now to post blog. At least after 2 weeks I am here again. I am so busy and that is the reason I cannot post a blog. Hay. I hope I can get a rest. I had a bunch of home works and have to study quizzes. I don't have enough free time. I don't have a time to have a "gala". I don't have time to have some chitchat with my new classmates. Until now I still don't know some of the classmates. I only know few which have been my seatmate or he/she is just at my front and at back.

Last last Friday we had the practical exam in BIO101 Lab. It is our first practical exam. And I got a zero! Oh my, I was so frustrated. Our exam is all about in viewing a specimen using LPO (Low Power Objective) and HPO. It is my hatest day! I cannot see my specimen niether of the two objective. I cannot get a light to view that specimen and we only have a minute for LPO then a minute and a half at HPO. The mirror cannot get light because my working place is under the light bulb and the mirror cannot get it because we are under the light. And our professor is not even gave us a effort! I must do my best next time. I should get it.

Last Thursday we had our first mass in UST. It is supposedly the Friday Mass but I don't know why they move it at Thursday. The UST chapel is big for just calling it a chapel. At first I thought it was a church but they say that it is just a chapel. I was confused. Haha. We were seated at the secong floor because we thought there is space at the first. The chapel is centralized but it was still hot inside. I can see that the majority of the students used fans. Only the College of Science students are in there.

Yesterday we have a quiz in BIO101 Lab and it was hard but still I answered some of the questions correctly. Also yesterday Inay(Grace), Tae(Bea) and me met up outside the library. We go home together as what we had planned. In Park n Ride Tae rode the van going to Pag-Asa and Me and Inay rode the Paliparan one. We had chitchat in the van. Well we just met in school maybe twice or thrice only in a week. Hay! I Miss RIZAL! I hope we will have a reunion.

BTW we had an org. fair also. I joined the BIOLOGY SOCIETY, RED CROSS YOUTH COUNCIL, COMACH and THE SCIENCE JOURNAL. I cannot find the booth or the GLEE CLUB, well I think I will just go at the org. room for the sign ups. Haha. I just miss my old Chorale in Perpz. That's why I decided to join. At first I don't but I heard the choir in the mass and I realized that it is become a part of my school life. Hay. I Miss Perpz!!!

Manila Day!

After many days without any post...I'm back! Hay last weekend, I did my home works. Last Sunday is also Father's Day. My father is at work so we decided to buy a cake for him. As usual every Sunday we went to SM Southmall to attend the mass and of course to have shopping. As I said, we bought a cake for our dad in Goldilocks. It is my favorite cake the Caramel Chocolate Cake..ummm..Haha..well it is very delicious. Well we ate it at dinner as a dessert with our dad. :) To my dad HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

Last Monday we had our Biology Laboratory from 10 am to 1 pm. It is 3 hrs. Our first lesson is about microscope. Whooh... We studied how the microscope to be used and its uses, the different parts of the microscope and the different types of the microscope. Wheew! We also studied on how to focus a specimen in the microscope. We used a strand of hair and a printed small letter "e". It was fun but it is hard because unlike in high school it is ok to close your other eyes while peeping at the microscope, but now our eyes should be all open so that we will know what is also happening while observing inside the microscope or to write our observations. I have a hard time to adjust the HPO or High Power Objective in the microscope and we will have a practical exam at it. The exam is that we will use HPO of the microscope to view the specimen for about one minute and draw or write what king of specimen it is. I only got the LPO or the Low Power Objective. I hope i will not fail at our first practical exam.

We had Philosophy, Philippine History and Filipino. Philosophy became more interesting than any other subjects we have. I liked it very much. I really liked the question he gave us. "Why are we created and who created God???" and "What is the difference of a Human Being and a Man???" Haha there is also many questions that Philosophy gave us...and it also make us confuse and curious. Well it have eight branches but we will only tackle Logic. Aww...

Sir Domingo gave us a graded recitation again all about our research about Prehistory but he only gave us objective questions that based in the book. But the sad part, we didn't started to read the book because he only asked us subjective questions..hay...I hate him but still i was not able to call..Our Filipino professor is around today. I was called to tell her about my self..haha..She also gave us a hard homework...

Yesterday, is the day we went to our former school, University of Perpetual Help Rizal - Molino Campus. Inay (Grace) and Sher first went there at about 1 pm and arrived from UST to Perpz at maybe 4:00 i think. They didn't like to wait for me because my class ends at 2:30 pm. Desiree wait for me because her class ends at 1:15. We met up at the front of the main building with Veronica. Veronica rode a van and we rode a jeep to UN. While in the jeepney something happened, the "kita" of the driver which is usually seen in front the driver was snatched by a little boy while we are in the bridge connecting Quiapo and Lawton. It is traffic that's why that little boy grabbed the opportunity to get their Kita. The little boy is not a passenger of the jeepney. Oh we are in shocked when the wife of the driver told us what happened. At first we were just curious but we went scared because maybe it will happen again. BTW the little boy jumped off the bridge so that the driver could not catch him.

We arrived at Perpz at 5 pm. While waiting outside we got to talk to Sir John Magalong which is our purpose in going there but unfortunately he was now going home with Sir Rod Manuel. We went inside to meet up with Inay and Sher, we found them outside of the faculty room. They thought that Sir John is still there but we said that he was just at the gate and going home. Well after that. We went to SM Molino to meet up with Itay (Aruin). Umm we eat in KFC except Inay. Itay arrived when we were about to finished to eat. We had chitchat. We decided to go to the food court so that the customers in KFC will have a table to eat.

We celebrated the 10th 23rd of Inay and Itay but with no cakes and other delicious food. haha. We just celebrated it simple by just gathering or reunion. Haha. I still remembered Sher's story about Inay while they are waiting in UST. She said "Aruin, Aruin, Aruin" "Sher mauna nlng kaya ako?" Haha.

I arrived home at 7:50 pm..Hay what a day, yesterday. I forgot, it rained yesterday until now because of Typhoon Feria. I just relax today because it is Manila Day. We will have a class tomorrow or maybe the class will be suspended because of the typhoon.

P.S. UST Med School, Nursing, Rehabilitation Science and Engineering classes is suspended because of A(H1N1) virus. Also Accountancy classes will be suspended starts tomorrow..Oh I hope there will no class suspension in our college or no case of A(H1N1) in our building because if they will suspend our class the consequence is we will not have a Semestral Break!!!

Whooh! Our first week being a college UST student is tiring! Hay! I am very very tired already. I think I want to have a dorm near UST. The travel from UST to our house here in CAVITE everyday is tiring and I think I cannot study hard enough because of a 2-3 hours travel to way back home. Going there is never a problem but going home...tsk tsk..well at least I survived the first week. But how about the following bloody weeks???

Ohh..At 7 am, I have a PE and it is softball but before we meet the instructor, the members of the UST Prep Rally teached us some of the cheers of UST in UAAP, which will start at July. Then they also teached us the UST hymn. Here are some of the cheers of UST.

After that cheers we met our PE professor. He is Mr. Salamat. He is the only Softball professor for the past years. And now they found him a counterpart which is Softball for girls. After some briefing of our PE, we were dismissed at 8:15 am. I went to the Publishing house to meet up with my classmates. Gracia, Marmy and Sam was already falling in a long line in the publishing house, we wait for Danica and Raphael to come there. After in the publishing house, Danica said that Raphael is waiting at the back of the main building near the CAL-1 where our BIO101 Lab take place. It is near the botanical garden. We decided to find a food first because we were already hungry.

BIO101 Lab is our class at 10 am - 1 pm. Oh it was three hours. CAL-1 is located beside botanical garden and at the back of the graduate school and high school building. The Laboratory is well ventilated unlike P******** which is not. They have complete apparatus and they are the one that will provide us the materials. But they just require us somethings like glass slides and cover slips. BTW we have two professors in our Lab and I think that they are our adviser because they said that whoever assigned professor in BIO101 Lec or BIO101 Lab in your section might be your adviser. BTW I forgot to tell you yesterday that our professor in BIO101 Lec. is Ms. Sabit. She is a good teacher but she gave us a pre - test yesterday and I failed the passing score is 15 and my score is 14. Oww..well it is ok because I am not the only one who failed. The highest is Jelette, her score is 23. She is a Valedictorian.

In BIO101 Lab they say that it is the hardest subject that the biology students have..Many have failed in this class. I hope that I will not fail. I remember one thing that we will do in this Lab. It is that we will use microscope, which is that I don't know how to distinguish specimens in microscope. We never had like this in our HS Biology class. I also remember that we will do like a scene in twilight. Bella and Edward distinguish if it is a prophase, anaphase, telophase, blah blah..I don't even know what it looks like!!! Hay...We were released early because we will start next week. My group mates in the experiments for the 1st semester are Me, Gracia, Mermy, Alika and Manu.

We eat at a carenderia, it was like Caporte and Buhadan..Ohh.. I miss that store.:(( It was affordable though. After we eat we went to the 6th floor library. Haha.. We just want a cool area. Today is a sunny day and it is hot. Philosophy, Philippine History and Filipino are our afternoon subjects. Our professor in Filipino is absent and the Guidance give us the orientation. It is now room-to-room.

At KFC Ghie and Tae Bea! is already waiting for me. We went together to ride a jeepney up to Lawton and they went to Park and Ride to find a van while me I rode a bus. I got home at 7:47 pm. It was late.

Hay! First week is so stressful...well that's all ...haha

Umm...At last I am not late for school. I arrived at 6:20 am. 40 minutes before the time! Well our class for today is Theology, English, Biology and Math. Hay! Our English teacher said that she might drop our section because of difficulties of their schedule. Her name is Ms. Ward. I forgot her first name. She was a fun teacher. She didn't mind my classmates noisiness. Umm..She give us again a long break. She dismissed us at 9:30 am. Originally our break time is 10 am. Haha.

At break, we went to the Publishing House to buy our book in English which cost P385.00. After that we went to the Central Library. It was enormous. The library is consist of 6 floors with different sections of books. We were intrigued and went to 6th floor with the elevator. We had fun and take some pictures. We went there to wait for my other classmates who went outsideto take a picture for our Philosophy class. We ate our lunch at a Thai cuisine Restaurant. Well it is not too expensive. The food only costs P65.00 and the drinks costs P25.00. I got home and do the large amount of assignments given to us!!! Well i just "singit" this so that I can update my blog! See again!

Late on Second Day!

What a freaky second day! First late in my college life. I was very frustrated. I rode the van near our village to Alabang Town Center at 11:30 am. I rode a jeepney to SM Southmall where I will wait for a bus to Lawton. I rode the bus at 12 nn. At that time the rain falls and immediately have a traffic. I arrive at UN Avenue at 1:25 pm., and my first class starts at 2. At that time I was so nervous that I will be late and then I rode a jeepney to UST. While inside I was now very nervous because I will be late. There is a lot of traffic in every street and the jeepney stop at every corner to look at passengers but there is none. I arrived at UST at 2:15 pm. I was late for 15 minutes. When I entered the classroom, the professor is already inside and calling out names.

Our Professor name in Philosophy is Mr. Peter Emmanuel Mara, he is an alumnus of the university. He is like Mr. Andrew Villarba - my former English teacher at UPHR. He also make us laugh. But he doesn't like late students (Ouch!)..haha. But because it is first day it is ok. He make us to tell me about yourself..Haha.

Philippine History is our next class. His name is Emmanuel Domingo. He gave our book in history which he is one of the authors. He is also funny and he look like Mr. Jeffrey Ferrer - the Guidance Counselor of UPHR. He is also strict. He also gave us a lot of assignments.

Our last class is Filipino handled by Mrs. Anelia Castro. She is like a good teacher. I cannot say a lot of things about her but I am sure that she will make Filipino interesting because she will give us a lot of surprise quizzes which will make us study a lot harder.

I got home at 8:20 pm. I was so tired. I just wanted to keep my blog updated. Oh my class tomorrow will start at 7 am. So I will sleep now! Ciao!

What a Day! This is our first day of class as a college student. Oh..I woke up at 4:10 am and get washed up. I eat before leaving. I depart at 5:05 am to UST. In going to UST, I have to travel for about an hour and a half, and 3 type of public utility vehicles - a van going to Alabang, a bus from Alabang to United Nations St. then a jeepney from UN St. to UST. I was in United Nation St. when rain starts to fall. When I arrived at UST the rain start to fall harder. When I get to our building, my bag is soaked!

My first class is Theology, my proffesor's name is Dr. Carmen Alviar. My first impression of her is she must be a kind and good-hearted teacher but I was wrong. She is a terror teacher! She doesn't like late students and if you are late hmm.. you must get ready to be ashamed, ksi ipapahiya ka in front of the class..Ohhh.. and at first day many got that. Maybe 2 or 3 are late. Aside from that she is like Ma'am Duran my former teacher in FCL. She give us a weekly assignment to make reflection about the Gospel and also from the Life Today(the official magazine of Religion Department). In our section which is 1-bio-7 we are 55 in our class and majority of those is girls. In my row we are only 2 boys and its alphabetical. In the middle of the class unfortunately the aircon of the room went off and our room have no windows and ceiling fans! It was very hot inside!

Our second class is English. Our professor just give us some reminders and what we will do in her class. She just give 15 minutes to do all that because she doesn't like to stay at a hot classroom. I think she is kind because our time is 8:30 - 10:00 am but she dismiss us at 8:45! Our next class is at 11:30! We have a break for about 3 hours. In that 3 hours I go with my new classmates and know each of them. Umm here are their names...Raphael, Ea, Danica, Kaye, Gracia, Jelette, Mabel and Marmy,...

Our next class after break is Biology but our professor didn't came.:)
Our last class is Math, she gives us the grading system....blah blah..as usual like High School but she give some questions to us like what is our goal grade in Math..some says 1, 1.5, 3. Me I choose 2..Well I chose that because I know I am not that good in Math. She also dismiss us early it was about 1:50 pm.

Geraldine told me at the corridor that we will meet at KFC at 2:30 with Cha and Emily. I was the first to go at the meeting place because we were dismissed early then Ghie came at 2:38 or something that time. Then Cha came then Emily. We decided to ride a jeepney at Dapitan St. When we are at Quiapo area our jeep's tire exploded or pumutok (tama ba??? haha ang lakas ng tunog eh) haha..We are near to our destination but as you can see there is a bridge connecting the Quiapo area and Lawton. We decided to get a jeepney then another thing happened, we were already in Lawton but we forget to "para". Haha. We "para" at Manila City Hall. After that I ride a bus to SM Southmall. I don't know what happen to Ghie, Emily and Cha. (I'm sorry if I left you).:)

Oh in Taft it was so traffic. My mom was waiting at me in SM and our call time is 5 and I was late, I arrived 6 pm. We just buy something, some stuffs and we went home!

What a day! It was not the first day I expected! Well I still enjoy even there is something happen. Haha.

A New Beginning!
